Many Netbook buyers are curious about the differences between the Intel Atom N Series and the Atom Z Series. Intel had long planned two different versions of its low power processor with each designed to fill a different market segment. Readers may also have seen these processors referred to by their code names of Silverthorne (Z) and Diamondville (N).

Daimondville (N) is by far the most common and appears in almost all netbooks available today. The N series comes as either the 1.6GHZ N270 or the 1.66GHZ N280. With a marginly higher clock speed and faster FSB (667 over 533) the N280 is the quicker of the two. The Diamondville processor is also paired with the Intel 945GSE chipset and the Intel GMA950 graphics processor.

Silverthorne on the other hand is intended for smaller computers such as Mobile Internet Devices (MID), and as such uses the smaller Intel Poulsbo chipset. While the 945GSE is essentially a re-designed desktop chipset Poulsbo was designed completely from scratch, cutting out a lot of unnecessary devices like an onboard floppy controller. Being physically smaller allows the Atom+Poulsbo combo to fit into smaller devices such as MIDs, and it also has marginally less power draw and produces less heat.

Poulsbo is paired with the newer Intel GMA500 graphics processor and unlike the GMA950, supports Direct X 10. It also has the decoders required to process High Definition audio and video however, in real world tests this has proved unsuccessful.

Therefore the Z Series or Silverthorne processors are essentially Atom with a different chipset and graphics processor.

Yugatech’s Test

With few real world tests done it is hard to compare the performance of both chipsets but in the comparisons that can be found online it appears that the Z Series processor at the same clockspeed, despite having a newer chipset, is in fact slower. This is most likely due to the integration of devices that were previously separated on the 945GSE chipset, thus giving the processor more to do under Poulsbo.

So, what does this mean for the Netbook world?

We have started to see the Poulsbo chipset show up in Netbooks such as the MSI Wind U115 and the Dell Mini 10. The theory goes that Intel had given Netbook manufacturers restrictions on what processors they could use based on the specifications of their device. For example, a Netbook with a 1024 x 600 screen resolution cannot use anything other than an Atom N270 or N280. To get around this limitation, manufacturers have starting using the Z Series processor, and Dell has released a netbook with a 1366 x 768 screen.

Bare in mind though that clock for clock the Z Atom appears to be slower than the N, and 1.33GHZ Z520 is most definitely slower than a 1.6GHZ N270.

If faced with the choice between a 1.6GHZ N270 or a 1.6GHZ Z530 the buyer should go with the N270.

Full review of Asus Eee PC 1000HE

Asus started the netbook craze with its tiny, 7-inch Eee PC. Shortly thereafter, every notebook manufacturer except Apple laptop battery produced at least one tiny and inexpensive laptop just like it. Nowadays, netbooks are not that tiny anymore – little by little they have increased in size from 7″ via 9″ and now the standard screen size of a netbook is 10 inches. Even a couple of 12-inch models have been released.

Hardware

What they all have in common is the hardware – with a few deviations it consists of an Intel Atom CPU at 1.6GHz, 1GB or RAM, a 160GB hard drive and integrated GMA950 graphics, Laptop battery. The Eee PC, however, has been upgraded with an ever so slightly faster 1.66GHz Atom processor and a higher 667MHz FSB speed instead of earlier models which had 533MHz.

The speed increase is not big enough to be noticeable, but you might feel better purchasing an upgraded model. Asus’ main selling point with the 1000HE is the Discount laptop battery life. According to the manufacturer, you should be able to keep it alive for 9.5 hours without resorting to an outlet. To achieve this formidable Laptop battery life, you need to use aggressive power-saving schemes, no Wi-Fi and turn the brightness all the way down. In our general usage test it still delivered more than 7 hours, which is still more than acceptable.

Design

As far as the design goes, the Eee PC 1000 HE stays with the concept we’ve seen in previous Eee netbooks as Latitude D610 battery. The keyboard is almost full size (92%) and the trackpad buttons are slightly tilted in the front. The entire casing of the netbook is glossy, which enhances the overall look but also attracts fingerprints easily.

On the whole, the design of the 1000HE focuses on usability; it’s not spectacularly thin like some of its siblings, such as Asus S101 netbook, but it certainly gets the job done with flying colors. Besides, keeping the design simple also helps keep the price to a minimum, which is often the deciding factor for a netbook buyer.

Connectivity and Features

The ports have been placed on the left- and right-hand sides of the laptop – none at the back of Dell inspiron 9400 battery. On the right is a memory card reader, 2 USB and VGA and on the left is another USB port, Ethernet, and audio line in/out.

Summary

While there are better looking netbooks on the market, the Eee PC 1000HE comes at a very attractive price point and offers excellent battery life. It’s also very easy to use thanks to the large keyboard, and has all the features that the competition offer plus a little extra. Combine these aspects and you have one of the best netbooks compare to Latitude D620 battery currently available.

Smaller than traditional laptops but larger than handhelds, mini-laptops offer most of the features you get from their bulky ancestors – web browsing, document creation, editing, and email – just slightly scaled down in terms of both size and power. Most appealing of all, they’re cheap. Mini-laptops range from $299 (for the most bare-bones version of the Asus Eee) up to $1,399 for a fully-loaded Fujitsu LifeBook U810. Though there’s some category overlap, mini-laptops shouldn’t be confused with ultra-mobile PCs (UMPCs), which more closely resemble handhelds and cost more (prices range from about $700 to $1,500) and the more-powerful ultra-portable PCs, such as Lenovo’s ThinkPad X300, which sells for a pricey $2,420.

Of course, there are some tradeoffs that come with mini-laptops‘ bargain basement prices.

“You’re not going get a super-powerful processor in there, and usually you’re limited on storage space,” says Ian Bell, editor in chief of Digital Trends, a consumer-technology analysis site NP-BG1 fit NP-FG1.

In addition, most subnotebooks lack CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drives so you won’t be able to play movies on your computer.

Mini-laptops trace their roots back to the One Laptop Per Child project, a program started by an MIT professor with the goal of providing every child in the developing world with a $100 laptop.KODAK KLIC-5001 Computer manufacturing companies soon took advantage of the commercial opportunity these tiny laptops created. With the 2007 release of the Asus Eee, a surprise hit for Taiwan’s Asustek, mini-laptops got their jumpstart.

The Eee is so popular, “now everyone is trying to copy them,” says Dan Ackerman, senior editor at CNET.com and Ecsem.net.

A slew of Taiwanese vendors unveiled models at June’s Computer expo, but rival products from big brands like Dell are on the way, too. Many use Intel’s power-efficient Atom CPU along with solid-state disk (SSD) drives, for better battery life, boot times, and shock resistance.

At $220, the Shanzai C200 netbook could possibly be the cheapest 10-inch netbook to date as HP laptop battery. It has all the standard features of your regular officially branded netbooks available in the market today plus some more nifty features that we wish those other branded netbooks Discount laptop battery have.

The Shanzai C200 netbook features 10.1-inch display, 1.6GHz N270 CPU, 1GB RAM, 160 GB HDD, and beveled keys (not the chicklet style). Pretty standard, right? Its battery is 6cells battery as most Apple A1078 Acer BTP-58A1 Aspire 1300 battery PA3356U-1BRS PA3356U-3BRS Satellite M30 battery PA3331U-1BRS . Wait, there’s more. The Shanzai C200 netbook is actually packed with a built-in 3G SIM card slot under its hood, more particularly under its battery enclosure. In addition, the netbook appears to be packed with a built-in TV antenna which could probably be used for having a TV Tuner.

The Shanzai C200 netbook is currently in OEM status Laptop battery, meaning it is open to be picked up by any netbook manufacturer and make it as their own product. Although I doubt if there would be interested takers especially since the current netbook Discount laptop batteries trend is now either on tablet netbooks or netbooks with higher display .

But the Shanzai C200 is still worth a look.

The article is first posted in http://www.laptops-battery.co.uk/blog/

Along with the Intel readjustment, after Netbook experienced a prosperous age, it become step into the old age. Asus and Acer are the first to announce stop developing & researching netbooks to follow the light & thin laptop battery comprehensively.?

According to relative media reported the two laptops manufacturers, Asus and Acer has already stop the develop working of this second half year but turn all the energy into the light & thin notebooks like Latitude D600 battery. This is mainly because Intel postponed the publication of next generation netbook flat roof Pine Trail-M and MID flat roof Pine Trail-D to the 1st quarter of 2010.

But there is some information disclosed that ASUS may promote Android flat roof netbook products the later of this year, but the publication date is after October. Besides, touch model flat netbook Eee PC T91/T101 products will be follow up after the official selling of Windows 7 with dell laptop battery.

Another side, for the light & thin laptops based on CULV flat roof, ASUS already prepared 12 inch, 13.3 inch, and 15 inch machine type, 13.3 inch is the mainstream products, and it will be increased 12 inch and 14 inch model in August as Ibook G4 battery.

For Acer, the netbook products are still promote 10 inch Acer Aspire One battery series as the main products. Regarding the light & thin laptops, Acer already own 13.3 inch, 14.1 inch, and 15.6 inch, three machine models, and plan to add the model with collocation of ROM and independent display card according to the needs of market.

The two leading manufactures stop developing netbook products to developing thin and small laptop (Powerbook G4 battery), it is not some goods news for netbook market and it will bring chain-reacting. Meanwhile, it also proved that netbook market has already passed and will be replaced by light & thin laptops.

There are a few things that set netbooks apart from traditional laptops. They’re smaller, cheaper, and generally have less processing power than most modern computers of Laptop battery. But while the conventional wisdom is that you wouldn’t want to run CPU-intensive applications like Photoshop on a netbook, the truth is that you really can.

Musician A rman Bohn has been using a Lenovo IdeaPad S10 Discount laptop battery since last year. And he used the 10 inch netbook with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor to create a significant portion of his animated music video for the song !”

Arman tells me he drew the backgrounds on a netbook battery as pcga bp2ea, vgp-bp2ea, Sony NP-BG1, pcga bp2e in Photoshop and then added them to After Effects for animation. He did much of this work while sitting in cafes. The final rendering as done on a more powerful desktop PC with a 24 inch monitor that could actually display the video at its ful 1920 x 1080 resolution.

You can check out the video after the break.

Netbooks are, by there very nature, low power devices. But dos that mean they’re better for the environment than larger computers? Maybe. Maybe not.

Treehugger tackles this question today, and came up with a few interesting points. On the one hand, Acer laptop battery netbooks are smaller than typical laptops, and therefore use fewer materials. They’re more energy efficient, and require less electricity. And they embrace the concept that you don’t need the latest or most powerful gadgets to get things done.

On the other hand, Dell laptop battery netbooks are often so cheap, that you may think of them as disposable and replace them more frequently than larger laptops. What good is it to buy a machine with fewer materials if you buy two of them a year instead of one every three years? Netbooks are also considered by many people to be secondary computers, which means that you’re using it in addition to a larger computer, thus negating some of the benefits (although at least you’re using less power when typing away on your netbook). And most importantly, the manufacturing processes behind netbooks laptop battery don’t differ very much from those used to build larger laptops. In other words, a fair amount of waste and pollution is still generated, and many netbooks include toxic materials.

What do you think? Are HP laptop battery netbooks better for the environment than traditional laptops or not? And do you care?

Above photo is the upgraded edition Asus Eee PC 1000HE which possess overlength battery duration ability, besides the battery duration ablility receive the fully promotion, 1000HE keyboard and inside core processor also changed obviously.
Therefore, the afresh ration of price and hardware let us pay attention to every aspects of thisnetbook a lot, and if you also want to acquaint Asus EeePC 1000HE’s performance, then you will find answer in this article.

Asus EeePC 1000HE body appearance and weight

The whole Asus EeePC 1000HE body compared to 1000H has no big difference, the mould is well-knowned by us, but, the only difference is EeePC 1000HE offer the original white, black and blue color, besides, a new special color- gold also joined this model, the color matching is similar with the high-end EeePC S101.

The product we evaluted here is the white style, so it is difficult to distinguish the difference with model1000H if only looks the cosmetic.
